Julien Girard de Rialle (27 September 1841 – 23 November 1904), was a French diplomat and scholar. As an anthropologist, he carried out scientific missions in Syria and Germany. He was head of the archives department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from 1880 to 1888, then he occupied the legation of France in Santiago de Chile.

He was a member and then secretary general in 1882 of the Anthropology Society of Paris.
