A. B. Drachmann, Anders Bjørn (Asbjørn) Drachmann (27-2-1860 – 22-8-1935) was a Danish philologist born in Kbh. (Holmens). Coming from a highly cultivated home he started as a student in the Metropolitan School under V. Pingel’s rousing influence, and it was clear to him early that he wanted to study classical philology.
